yo!
yay today's shopping trip isn't a waste! i finally bought this pair of slip-ons i've been eyeing for the longest time. (: and i bought a very unique skirt for the wedding dinners im gonna attend in the next month. hohoho. my mum don't let me buy a dress :'( she thinks that most of them are too revealing. i think she's way too conservative. well at least i really like the skirt. so it's okay =D i will buy a dress for myself, someday. haha
anyways. went to watch The Devil Wears Prada with wl and zj yesterday at PS! wooots! it's one of my favourtite movies now. The novel was labeled as chick lit, but i think it's more than just glamour and fame. something i took from the movie was that one should never ever betray his/her own principles for money and power. or fame/glamour for that matter. okay, andrea sachs didn't do it for those, but in her pursuit of her dream job she lost her true self and disappointed her closed ones. we can't keep giving excuses like "i didn't have a choice!" when we have made harsh decisions which may upset ppl around us. all in all it's a wonderful film. lol. zj should be so glad we persuaded her to watch w us.
ahhh. anyway, i'm really blessed to have wondeful friends around me (:
Read this interesting article, titled "the secret love lives of teenage boys" in Time.lol. Let me quote this boy who's in a relationship:
"[At first it] just seemed like every time i was around her i couldn't talk. i was getting butterflies in my stomach, i was, just, like discombobulated or something." LOL.
So studies have shown that male adolescents are no less emotional and romantic than their female counterparts. And according to the article, guys are reluctant to talk abt their emotions, and if they do, they are not particularly good at it. haha. very true indeed.
moral of the story? haha, i donno. just felt like posting this here. might serve as useful advice to some girls out there. lol.
