I wonder if anyone still visits my blog . Haha. Looking at the state of my tagboard, I suspect not. Lol.
So HCI did exceedingly well in 2007 A levels! Record-breaking performance, even. For the first time, it is for a good record that's going down in history. 3 9 Distinctions, 63 8 Distinctions and 143 7 Distinctions!! Omg please beat that! I think we surpassed RJ for the first time in many years (: Very happy and proud to be part of HC. It's surprising to hear this from me cuz I'm not the let's-do-it-for-sch-spirit type of person. But when I was in the school hall, together with 900+ other hopefuls, listening to Mr Ang's endless speech, I actually felt a wave of pride surging within me. It was exceptionally heartening because as the first IP batch, we had faced numerous doubts coming from school, parents, even ourselves that we would perform on par with previous batches.
As for myself, I'm quite content with the 6 distinctions I've got. 4As in content subjects is something I thought I could only dream of, not capable of achieving. The only small regret is C in gp ): But I kind of expected it anyway. Being a bit defensive here, but I think results aren't very indicative of your abilities. Shit happens during exams and you nvr know who marks your papers. Lol. Come to think of it, I think our class deserves better grades in GP!! Only 5As out of 26 ppl. Hope Ms Lim isn't too disappointed.
Everlyn proves to be very news-worthy again!! She was captured by the Lianhe Zaobao photographer and her exuberance was displayed on the papers for all to see. HAHAHA. So cute la. Not bad lor, my back was captured too. Haha! Cuz I was hugging ever and they happened to snap pic at tt point in time.
Went for SMU and NTU open house yesterday with rebecca and her mum. Her daddy was very nice to chauffeur us around :D I was not very impressed by the SMU speaker during the admission talk. Not intending to demean her but she was not presenting the SMU image I was expecting. Oh well. I think the students there made up for the inadequacies. They look, sound and are confident. Haha. NTU is just...( fill in your own adjective) Okay I'm being kinda biased because:
1) It's freaking far from my house
2) My brother's from SMU
3) I'm not even vaguely interested in most of the courses they offer
But even rebecca and ever agreed with me that e talk is boring!! Haha. Can't really blame us you know...
Oh ya, ever and I found discrepancies in the reporting of A level results!! Sshhhh cannot say if not we kena zham. haha. Well, as AVID and CURIOUS readers who are CONCERNED with the current affairs, we wrote an email to the journalist who reported e piece of news. Hope to hear from her soon. Heh heh. We got very "righteous" and felt that it was only right to highlight it to the reporter LOL.
Time to ponder on the courses and scholarships to apply for...I'm quite decided on the path i'm gonna take. Don't say I fickle-minded again ah! Ask me two weeks later which course I want to study I'd probably give you the same answer (:
