Santa Monica- Savage Garden

In santa monica in the winter time
The lazy streets so undemanding
I walk into the crowd
In santa monica you get your
Coffee from
The coolest places on the
Promenade
Where people dress just so
Beauty so unavoidable everywhere
You turn
Its there I sit and wonder what am i
Doing here

But on the telephone line i
Am anyone
I am anything I want to be
I could be a super model or
Norman mailer
And you wouldn't know the
Difference
Or would you

In santa monica all the people got
Modern names
Like jake or mandy
And modern bodies too
In santa monica on the boulevard
Youll have to dodge those
In line skaters
Or they'll knock you down
I never felt so lonely
Never felt so out of place
I never wanted something more
Than this

But on the telephone line i
Am anyone
I am anything I want to be
I could be a super model or
Norman mailer
And you wouldnt know the
Difference
On the telephone line I am
Any height
I am any age I want to be
I could be a caped crusader or
Space invader
And you wouldn't know
The difference
Or would you

Bruised- Jack's Mannequin

I've got my things, I'm good to go
You met me at the terminal
Just one more plane ride and it's done

We stood like statues at the gate
Vacation's come and gone too late
There's so much sun where I'm from
I had to give it away, had to give you away

And we spent four days on an
Island at your family's old hotel
Sometimes perfection can be
It can be perfect hell, perfect...

Hours pass, and she still counts the minutes
That I am not there, I swear I didn't mean
For it to feel like this
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised
And don't fly fast. Oh, pilot can you help me?
Can you make this last? This plane is all I got
So keep it steady, now
Cause every inch you see is bruised

I lace my Chucks, I walk the aisle
I take my pills, the babies cry
All I hear is what's playing through
The in-flight radio
Now every word of every song
I ever heard that made me wanna stay
Is what's playing through
The in-flight radio, and I
And I am, finally waking up

Hours pass, and she still counts the minutes
That I am not there, I swear I didn't mean
For it to feel like this
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised
Don't fly fast. Oh, pilot can you help me?
Can you make this last? This plane is all I got
So keep it steady, now
Cause every inch you see is bruised, yeah

So read your books, but stay out late
Some nights, some nights, and don't think
That you can't stop by the bar
You haven't shown your face here since the bad news
Well I'm here till close, with fingers crossed
Each night cause your place isn't far

And hours pass, and hours pass, yeah, yeah...

Yeah, yeah, she still counts the minutes
That I am not there, I swear I didn't mean
For it to feel like this
Like every inch of me is bruised, bruised
And don't fly fast. Oh, pilot can you help me?
Can you make this last? This plane is all I got
So keep it steady, now
Cause every inch you see is bruised, bruised, bruised

Till the dawn-Drew Sidora

Out on the weekend
Out on the weekend
Out on the weekend
Out on the weekend

Let them in, get the lights, let party begin
Mix a little love, get the mood jumpin
From New York to Miami by ten
I think I'm ready to go
High, every time that we hit up our spot
See everyone in line, and they payin a lot
‘Cept their payin for the night
cuz the drinks are fixed
But the music is free

You want it, you got it
You need it, but you know you gotta have it boy
The music is freein'
(Out on the weekend, Out on the weekend, weekend)

This is for the girls comin' from NYC
I'm feelin' you like yous family
And everybody down from LA to BC
Rockin' to the same old CDs
This is for the kids in the clubs and the street
Talkin' bout you work three deity
Get on the dance floor where the music is free

Slip, gone until the dawn's gone with me
Gone until the dawn's gone with me
Where the music is free
Slip, gone until the dawn's gone with me
(Out on the weekend, on the weekend, weekend)

[spoken:]
Now all my ladies,
Move it to the front,

Ooh, ooh, ooh
Oh, Oh ooh

Oh, Oh ooh, ooh, ooh

Fellas?
Move like that!

Oh, Oh (x4)

[Mario:]
And all my ladies say (Ah, Ah)
And all the fellas say (Ah, Ah)
Everybody say (Ah, Ah)
Come dance with me, ohh (Ah Ah)

[Drew:]
And they say we all
Dance like this, we have the men in bed and off
Till there mornin', there we go lettin off
Tyler's droppin onto the table top
Once again, you can shake your thang and there aint no cops

This is for the girls comin' from NYC
I'm feelin' you like yous family
And everybody down from LA to BC
Rockin' to the same old CDs
This is for the kids in the clubs and the street
Talkin' bout you work three diety
Get on the dance floor where the music is free

mass-spamming of songs. haha. went to do cip at boon keng yesterday with the ocip ppl! i really learnt quite abit from the lady whose house we helped to clean. in fact, we didn't have to do much because she just moved in a month ago! we are visiting her next saturday :D listened to her talk about her golden days (she was a dressmaker for 31 years!!! and she made fabulous clothes) and buddhism. and i think alot of what she said made sense. i felt kind of guilty when she kept praising us being helpful teenagers. can't believe that she said mingren very pretty. aigiahnwdheywhisnakl. the exact words were, " ta hen mei." ohmysky. looking forward to see her again next saturday (: we are going to help her put the framed portraits on the wall! yay.

after chem spa is over i would be soso glad. chinese new year is coming soon! wheee~ i just wanna slack at home and pig outtttt. don't think i would be going to m'sia to visit my relatives. so, i would mostly stone at home and probably be out once or twice. nvm, i shall catch up with sleeeep. someone invite me to play mahjong! i want to try my luck this year. haha. valentine's before cny. how lame it is to have cross-country on the same day. you lug ur presents to macritchie, put them on the grass patches and go run. how exciting. hmmm. wonder what i should get for my angel and mortal! my mortal haven't reply me for a super long time....he/she is gonna geddit on v day.
